It didn’t take long for Vontaze Burfict to land on a new team.
NFL Network reported that Burfict received a one-year deal worth approximately $5 million.
With the Raiders, Burfict will be reunited with defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, who was the Bengals’ defensive coordinator from 2014-17.
In Oakland, Burfict also will be reunited with former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown. In a playoff game during the 2015 season, Burfict concussed and knocked Brown out of a loss to the Steelers. Last season, fresh off a four-game suspension for a failed PED test, Burfict was at it again. He was at the center of a play in which Brown was injured and evaluated for a concussion.
