A man has been arrested for chasing a Ryanair plane at Dublin airport after missing his flight.
Ryanair Flight FF655 was temporarily diverted to Madrid after fists reportedly flew aboard a Valentine’s Day flight from Glasgow, Scotland, to Malaga, Spain.
The airline did not confirm reports that alcohol played a role in the dust-up, telling The Sun only that “the aircraft landed normally and police removed and detained an individual before the aircraft continued to Malaga.”
Plane-tracking site FlightAware shows the plane departing Glasgow Prestwick International Airport at 6:12 p.m. GMT and landing at Madrid’s Barajas International Airport at 9:41 CET.
Ryanair says the incident is now in the hands of local police.
“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behavior at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority,” the airline said.
