Austin Rivers spent four seasons playing for his father, Doc Rivers, while with the Clippers. Now with the Houston Rockets, Rivers still has no tolerance for fans mocking his dad.
That was evident from a tunnel interaction captured at Saturday’s game in Houston.
As Rivers made his way past one of those courtside lounges with a view of the tunnel, one fan yelled, “Your dad sucks at coaching.”
Rivers stopped and confronted the fan.
Rivers clapped back with a, “Huh, say something?”
The fan played it off like he didn’t say anything upon realizing that you can’t just shout things at NBA players without the prospect of a strong response.
